We have noticed response times for the site have been slow for the last few hours and are working hard to track down the causes. Things are working but sometimes it takes a while for pages to load. Sorry about this, hopefully we can get it resolved soon.
We will likely restart our server on occasion while we attempt to fix this, so expect occasional periods of downtime.
After basking in all the attention we gave it and chugging a few too many Red Bulls our database machine went out and had quite a rock star evening. But alas, all good things come to an end, and it woke up with quite a hangover and had a very rough morning.
Our database machine failed to serve our users their JamLegend breakfast on time and forgot many user's requests altogether so we nearly fired it on the spot. Some customers reported waiting up to several minutes! Luckily, our friend Justin from FathomDB came in with the perfect hangover cure, a ssh smoothie with a side of InnoDB waffles.
We have properly scolded the database and told it not to party so hard next time, but well..... it is part of the JamLegend team and what good is life if you don't jam until dawn every now and then.
