The JamLegend team has been hard at work on the most anticipated feature on JamLegend... Power-Ups!

Let's introduce the new hotness:

Note Bomb - When used, this little piece of machinery blows up all the notes on the screen and gives you points as if you hit them! Use it when you're surrounded by a horde of notes.

Gauge Boost - If you find yourself in the Red because of a tough solo (or your mom interrupted you during an important part of the song), you can get back to Green immediately. It's like a Monster drink for JamLegend!

Lightning Mode - Last, but certainly not least, Lightning Mode doubles your current multiplier for 20 seconds!


With their powers combined... yes, even you can get the highest score on Canon Rock!

hmmm... the new powerups was a good idea, but this feature is just a fail.
I tried the "lightning mode", the problem is: u must pause the game and buy it for 400jamcash, when u now unpause the game, it will do - extreme-hardcore-lagging, after the 20 sec lightpower it will continued lagging until the end of the song... not nice :(

A year ago, it makes fun 2 play JamLegend with my friends. The VIP future was OK at the beginning, but today you can't play more then 5 songs a day without?
The new Power-Ups destroy your game.
I don't know why such a great game can ruined by their creators.

I know a lot of people asked for powerups, but why would you CHARGE THEM FOR USING THEM?
Now more money means a higher score, but not more skills.

This one was the end of JamLegend. Great players like Michi already left the server.

The power ups need to be one use a song play not for jam cash this would fix problems with it really fast. I understand you will need your servers for this service and will need people to buy jam cash but they really are useless in their current state.

Those that agree with me, boycott the special abilities.

I complete agree with Bladerunner85. I've played JamLegend for about 2 years now, from the beginning untill not too long ago, I absolutely loved it. I didn't need a PS3/xBOX/Wii or whatever, it was completely free... But now, only 5 plays a day if not a VIP? Powerups? It ruined the game. Too bad.
Sadly, I'm going to look for an alternative for JamLegend.

Hello! I completely hate this power-up system, where those who pay can beat in top scores those who don't. I'm the all-time top scores leader at 17 songs (though its only normal diff) and its not an easy thing to do it, but I have no chance against a same-skilled player with power-ups. I payed for the VIP to have unlimited play/day but I wont pay more...
It should be about skill, not money...

This used to be one of my favorite games. Today, I officially quit because I'm tired of playing and missing the top ten scores of all-time by 4000-5000 points even when I ace it. I think lower scores were implemented to force us to have to buy the power-ups to get a score good enough to get on the top ten, when it should be about the skill you have. It gave me such a rush when I aced extremely hard songs and clinched one of the top scores of all-time, but the victory has been removed because the honor has been removed. Greed eventually leads to downfall and Jamlegend is definitely on its way.

As it stands, the showdowns would really be the only reason to stay, but if you're not VIP, at only 5 plays per day, what is the point? And I refuse to give money to people that don't deserve it. The employees have shown us how little they care about us, the community, and how much they care about the money we have in our pockets.

@riode And yes, it's business, but there are good decisions and bad decisions. Not all businesses thrive, especially on bad decisions. The Jamlegend employees had an idea, but they did not implement it properly into their game and thus, ruined it for everyone. The best way to deal with something you don't like: walk away. And that's exactly what I'm doing.

i never use the Power Ups and i can only play 1 song a day! 1 SONG A DAY!!! X_X
