Juke Kartel is a big deal in their native Australia, who have shared the stage with big names like Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie, and Slash. In order to familiarize their international audience with their earlier material, Juke Kartel penned six new songs produced by Brian Virtue (Jane’s Addiction, Velvet Revolver, 30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle) and Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback) and added half dozen songs from their Australia-only debut Nowhere Left to Hide. Their world conquest seems to be on the right track with Parashar’s ringing endorsement: “Juke Kartel is one of the best bands to come out in a long time. They definitely are on their way to being a commercial arena rock band, with a ‘60s, grunge-like quality that gives them an edge.”
